1. way to Turkey
We travelled to Turkey with my car+biketrailer from Escheburg to Greece(GR) passing Dresden(D), Praha-CzechRepublic(CZ), Bratislava-Slovakia(SK), Budapest-Ungarn(H), Beograd-Serbia(SCG) and Sofia-Bulgarien(BG). The fares for highways were appr. 70 €uro for each direction. The trailer and car were parked on the camping ground in Alexandroupolis(GR), 2.20 €/day. Traveltime was 32 h/2400km with speedlimiter at 95km/h(if possible), passing all the borders was problemless, control of papers more precisely in SCG+BG, unfriendly borderstaff, when reaching the EU(GR). Most highways and roads were in a good condition, only short parts in the border area of HR/SCG reduced our speed. But care,  don't drive to fast, there were a lot of policemen with speed pistols.

2. route in turkey


We started in Alexandroupolis(GR), soon we reached the Turkey border(50km), going further to (and through, 2h) Istanbul
and Bosporus-bridge to Asia,


We camped at the parking ground of a restaurant, just behind the railway Istanbul-Bagdad(?)
 

Always along the coast of the BlackSea, we drive until the town of Trabzon,


with pleasuring temperatures between 22-27 °C,


and only a few of trafik,


sometimes there were nice sandy beaches, but no, even no turkish, Tourists,


arab church houses everywhere,


nearby the town Of, we turned south in direction of Bayburt, 


but first we had to pass the moutains on a level of +3050m shortly after Uzungöl,


GPS shows 'only' +3003m,


South the mountains, we find the hot and dry part of East-Anatolia,


no begging, but always interested und good educated childs and youngsters, 


riding always to east we pass the mountain Ararat(5137m, that's where Moses arche touched first ground)


the Iran border was the most eastern point of our journey.

free sleeping right beside the Lake of Van, this night one of our petrol stoves was stolen,
